Global Bodybuilding has worked for the past year with an industry leader for our tested events coming to you in 2024. Since the sudden absence of our Natural Director and also in the roll of Director of Judging, we had to reconstruct our tested events to meet industry standards in accordance to WADA guidelines . This was something I was passionate about and we are making our comeback in 2024. Our rules have been conformed to meet anti doping standards. We are excited to bring tested events back in 2024 and to announce new Professionals at our events as overall winners along with passing drug tests is awarded Pro status. 

 

Global Bodybuilding Organization will test athletes who win an overall for Professional status, attain monetary cash prizes, or win at an event that offers 1st place wins to athletes who become nationally qualified. The qualifying events will start up within the next couple of years for our tested shows due to rebuilding professional status winners organically through compete only.

Global Bodybuilding conducts a 3-panel drug test:

• Comprehensive Steroid Panel

• Diuretic Test Panel

• Stimulant Test Panel

All athletes must be drug free while staying compliant with the WADA Anti-Doping Code as test are comparable to WADA tests.

 

Testing will be conducted at the events immediately following the win of Pro status on stage. Global Bodybuilding can also conduct a random test on site as the promoter sees fit to stay within Global Bodybuilding Organization’s rules and policies.

Testing is conducted by a urinalysis sample collected by an official of Global Bodybuilding Organization and immediately sent to our laboratory in California.

Athletes will pay for a portion of the drug testing through the entry fee at each tested event.

​

An athlete’s test results will be shared with the athlete and the athlete only. Global Bodybuilding Organization will never list an athlete’s name on our website due to failing a urinalysis drug test with Global Bodybuilding Organization. This remains as a private courtesy between Global Bodybuilding Organization and the athlete.

If an athlete does test positive on any of the above panel tests, an enforced suspension will be put in place for a minimum of 1 year up to 5 years. The time is based on the positive result of a specific panel.

Steroid Panel positive test results can result in a 5 plus year suspension. The athlete must maintain a drug free test result for 5 or more years before coming back to Global Bodybuilding Organization.

Diuretic Panel positive test results can result in 1–3-year suspension from competing in tested Global Bodybuilding events.

​

Stimulant Panel positive test results can result in a 1–3-year suspension from competing in tested Global Bodybuilding events.

A ban from Global Bodybuilding for a lifetime is a case-by-case basis depending on the severity of the drug testing rules, code of conduct rules and all regulations put in force by Global Bodybuilding Organization.

All athletes must be aware of what they are consuming including but not limited to vendor samples at each event, over the counter drugs and/or supplements and prescription medication. It is the athlete’s responsibility to be aware of the drugs listed in each panel and the rules and regulations enforced by Global Bodybuilding Organization. If you are on a prescription by a doctor, Global Bodybuilding offers non-tested events to compete in. We cannot defer from the rules listed.
